- Hydrodynamic/Hydroelastic Analysis: OffCoast, Inc. Inc. offers in-house analysis of the wave motions and structural response of offshore structures, especially those for which the diffraction forces are significant. Analysis capabilities exist for both rigid bodies and flexible bodies. The hydrodynamic response is determined based on
OffCoast, Inc.'s proprietary codes, such as HYDRAN. For flexible bodies, the structural modeling is carried out either with in-house codes or with Computers & Structures' SAP
2000 computer program.
- Pontoon Bridges: The quasi-static response of pontoon bridges to deck loads, boat and mooring restraints, and current
can be readily determined with VHC,
OffCoast, Inc.'s Windows-based GUI tool designed specifically for these types of structures.
- Finite Element Structural Analysis: A wide variety of finite element analysis of structures can be carried out. The primary tool for these analyses is Computers & Structures' SAP 2000 computer program. Static, dynamic, and earthquake analysis of a broad range of structures is possible with SAP 2000.
- Software Engineering: OffCoast, Inc. provides customized software tools for clients' specific needs. Our special expertise is in offshore engineering and structural analysis, but other applications are possible. For example, Windows-based GUIs can be created for clients' legacy codes, keeping the investment in these codes while at the same time updating them with a modern user interface.
